Read some of Outreach Manager Joi Perry’s frequently asked questions!

Dear Joi, My account was suspended! What did I do wrong?

Don’t worry – it’s usually not you! Suspensions often mean your organization hasn’t completed it quarterly user audit.

What to do:

  1. Contact your organization HIE Administrator. Not sure, login to the Portal and click on the My HIE Admin(s) at the top of the screen.
  2. Once your account has been audited, your access will be restored.
  3. Need additional help, our DC Outreach Team can assist! Email us at dcoutreach@crisphealth.org.

Tip: Admins mark your calendar and create a quarterly or monthly reminder – prevention is power!

Dear Joi, What’s this audit everyone keeps mentioning?

Each organization must verify its CRISP users quarterly – it’s how we keep data secure.

If you’re the organization’s HIE Administrator:

  1. Log into the CRISP DC portal and access the user audit functions through the HIE Admin Tool.
  2. Review the list of active users and confirm who still needs access, deactivate any users no longer active with your organization or do not require portal access.
  3. Submit your audit – done!

Stay ahead: review your users quarterly to ensure audits are timely and only authorized users have access to portal.

You don’t have to know it all – that’s what we’re here for!

Dear Joi, My login keeps timing out. Can I extend it?

Unfortunately, no – that’s a HIPAA and security safeguard to protect patient data. But here’s how to make it less frustrating:

  • Users will receive a time out notice when idling, click continue to keep the session open.
  • Save your login page to your bookmarks for quick re-entry. It’s a small trade for big data security!

Dear Joi, I’m seeing duplicate records for the same patient. Is that normal?

It can happen when multiple facilities send data for the same person. CRISP uses our MPI logic (Master Patent Index) to ensure patients are attributed to a profile, but occasionally, duplicates appear.

Best move:

  1. Check the MRN or facility source to confirm.

If it looks like a true duplicate, report it directly to CRISP by contacting the Technical User Support team at 833-580-4646. You can also submit feedback to CRISP within
