You asked, and we delivered! After hearing directly from our users, we are thrilled to announce that you can now view DC MCO Provider Affiliation through the Provider Directory!
What is the Provider Directory? The Directory is a free tool available in both the DC Portal and your EHR, allowing you to view up-to-date information on over 6 million providers nationally (including over 63,000 DC providers!), enhancing patient care coordination decision-making and ensuring smooth transitions of care.
Why is this important? All Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) in the District must accept Medicaid. You can now view which MCO programs a provider is affiliated with, or filter by MCO program to see which providers accept that program. This allows for better care management and ensures that Medicaid patients are referred to a provider that will accept their insurance program.
How can I view MCO Provider Affiliation? Please follow the steps below to view MCO Provider Affiliation information by navigating to the Directory in the Portal or within your EHR.
1) Open the advanced search by selecting the advanced search icon.
2) Select your desired MCO program under the Select Program Participation drop-down menu.
3) Choose your preferred provider to view at which locations this provider practices at that accepts your selected MCO program.
